The Rotary Charity Swimathon

The Annual Rotary Charity Swimathon was held on the 14th November from 8am through to 6pm. 190 swimmers in

47 teams swam a total of 10,497 lengths of the Sleaford Leisure Centre pool, enough to swim across the English Channel 8 times!

The top team this year was one from the Sleaford Tri3 Club, the “Trinamites”, whose four swimmers averaged 112 lengths each. Another team, “Busy Nights”, came second with their swimmers averaging just under 102 lengths each.

Carres Grammar School triumphed in the Schools Competition, swimming battling against KSHSSA and St George's Academy.

The competition between the six primary schools was won by St Andrews, Leasingham. Teams from William Alvey, Winchelsea, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Kirkby-la-Thorpe and Osbournby entered.
