Stephen Bath, Past President of the Rotary Club of Sleaford, welcomes a challenge in whatever form when it comes to supporting charitable causes.

It therefore came as no surprise when he announced in October 2014 that he was signing up to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats starting on September 1st specifically to raise funds in support of the Sleaford Branch of The Royal British Legion and the Rotary Club of Sleaford's approved charities. Such was his determination to succeed that by the time he finally met up with the other 45 likeminded cyclists for the start in Penzance he had clocked up a mind boggling 6000 miles! Eleven and a bit days later he completed the challenge arriving at John O'Groats after cycling a distance of 969 miles. Already the proceeds from his efforts have totalled over £3000 with more to come.
